A nephrologist is a physician who is trained in the diagnosis and management of kidney diseases, by regulating blood pressure, regulating electrolytes, balancing fluids in the body, and administering dialysis. Nephrologists treat many different kidney disorders including acid-base disorders, electrolyte disorders, nephrolithiasis (kidney stones), hypertension (high blood pressure), acute kidney disease and end-stage renal disease.

Facilities available in our hospital :

Clinical Nephrology Renal pathology, with complete biochemical, immunological, microbiological and histological analysis available.

Dialysis Unit
:Fully computerised bicarbonate haemodialysis machines with volumetric ultrafiltration and adjustable sodium facility, provide better patient safety profile.

Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy :Providing highly sophisticated dialysis for critically ill patients in ICU/ICCU with multi-organ failure, where peritoneal or routine haemodialysis are not possible for various reasons.

Plasmapheresis & Plasma Exchange : These facilities of Plasmapheresis & Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE) are available for renal and non-renal patients such as LGB syndrome and myasthenia gravis.
