Breast Surgery

  • Early detection & treatment of breast problems

  • Breast Ptosis

  • Breast Reconstruction: Generally performed for post-ablative deformity of the breast. It can be combined with breast amputation and done in same sitting. It involves multiple options and they will be discussed before surgery is planned. It may involve more than one operation and may take fairly long to complete. The size and shape of the other breast may also need attention.

  • Breast Reduction: This reduces the size of the breast. It is very helpful in large hypertrophic breasts, virginal hypertrophy, and cosmetic indications. This is done under general anesthesia. Very careful planning is necessary for good results. There are some inevitable scars but they fade away very significantly over several months. Liposuction is a very good adjunctive procedure and at times may be enough to produce the desired result.

  • Breast augmentation: This procedure is to increase the size of the breast. Silicone implants are used to improve the shape of the breast. A variety of implants are available and the patient has the choice of size and shapes. Results are generally very satisfactory.
